ART EXHIBITION AT THE IVCC
Good Afternoon, dear guests,
It’s a pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
This small space is a place for cooperation with the people of Guyana. It is a space for the meeting of the Guyanese and Venezuelan cultures. Many men and women of Guyana have found here the support for their training and others to learn the Spanish language.
Today we share the exposition of a group of Guyanese artists. We know of the limitations they face in the development of their creativity and for this reason we value their work even more. They have decided to dedicate their artistic work to Simón Bolívar and we have accepted this with pride because Guyana is America and Venezuela is also the Caribbean.
In Bolívar’s thought there will always be present the Caribbean and his commitment for the integration of our peoples. Trinidad received Bolívar when the First Republic of Venezuela was lost and after Pétion became a great ally who helped in our independence from the Spanish domain.
Bolívar’s thought has no borders because his essence is the building of a Great Motherland and we can only achieve this with the social, economical and cultural integration of our peoples.
Thank you all for your presence. We hope that you can value the efforts of this group of artists and enjoy the moment.
Thank you very much…..
