Lets work together to sweep away the counterrevolution, urged Chávez
VENEZUELA.— In these times that Venezuela is living in we need unity, unity, unity, to ensure the victory for the following 23 of November, day that is not only for regional elections in this country but also it is the day in which it is decided the future of the Bolivarian Revolution that is in march.
The exhortation was made this Sunday by the President of the Bolivarian Republic and maximum leader of the political party United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV abbreviated in Spanish), Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, before “the red river, red with the people of Cumaná”, before the “national overflow of children, students, youths, women, men and the people of Sucre”, that filled all the Pan-American Avenue of that city, its streets, paths and roofs, in what was the “first and largest rally filled with Bolivarian love and passion”.
More than 60,000 people accompanied the Venezuelan Head of State, on Sunday, in the caravan – and ceremony – along with the PSUV candidates to the government, mayoralty and the Legislative Counsel of Sucre, another state that is considered strategic for the revolutionary process that is taking place in Venezuela, that are facing elections given that the current governor betrayed Chavez and his people.
The President exhorted for them to work in unity, “in this battle for life, for the future, for every day, because they want to set up here a base of operations to overthrow the Government in 2009. We need here a Governor and mayors that will work along with the Bolivarian Government to solve the problems that still exist in sectors such as health, water, energy, electricity and housing; to make in Sucre the Revolution of truth and to construct the Socialism”.
All of you are the reason for our battle. This will be a battle without rest, without truce, to pay the debt that we feel to have with Sucre and Venezuela, for the people to live better every day, he affirmed.
During hours of the morning, Chavez inspected a group of public works that are being built in the Sucre State, such as the first phase of the North oriental System of Gas, the Petrocasas Fabric and a new thermoelectrical plant.
